Data stays on your iPhone

Kunhimal does not collect or transmit your camera images, location, altitude, or motion readings to the developer. The app has no account, analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party software services.

Camera

The rear camera supplies the live view behind the overlay. Camera calibration metadata places POI markers in that view. Pause holds one camera image and its matching place positions in memory. Resume, a display filter or alignment change, camera failure, or leaving the app clears it. Kunhimal does not save images to files or Photos, analyse image content, or upload photos or video.

Location and motion

Kunhimal uses your precise location, altitude, compass, and device motion while the app is active to match the camera direction to its bundled place catalogue. The offline terrain filter checks stored heights along sight lines on this iPhone. These readings and terrain results are processed in memory. A short in-memory pose history pairs a paused image with its capture time. Kunhimal does not save a location history or sensor log. Capture, terrain work, and sensor updates stop when the app becomes inactive.

Your choices

Your Place display choices, drawer state and vertical alignment correction are saved on this iPhone. They control place categories, label density, terrain filtering and overlay alignment. These preferences are not sent to the developer.

You can change camera and location permissions, including Precise Location, in iPhone Settings. Identification cannot work without the required readings. There is no developer-held personal data or app account to delete.

External links

The Place data screen contains optional source and data-licence links. Opening one uses your browser and needs internet access. The destination website and browser have their own privacy practices. Kunhimal does not append your location or sensor readings to these links.

Apple services

iOS permissions, Location Services, App Store transactions, and optional system diagnostics are controlled by Apple and your device settings. This policy describes Kunhimal's own handling of data.
